Ph.D. Openings

Multiple Ph.D. openings with full financial support are available in Prof. Xuan ‘Silvia’ Zhang’s group at Washington University in St. Louis. We are looking for highly motivated students with a strong research interest. Successful candidates are expected to have a solid academic background in one or more of the following fields: electrical engineering, computer science, or automation and control.

Specific research topics include, but not limited to:

  • Integrated deep learning hardware in micro-robots and Internet of Things
  • Failure-resilient modular power orchestration in autonomous robotic systems
  • Hardware security in energy-efficient cyber physical systems
  • Novel CMOS devices for non-reciprocal energy transfer
